One of my favorite ways to eat velvety soft, luscious figs is combined with a savory, creamy counterpart like Ricotta. An insanely delicious match made in heaven that I’ve been relishing in, now that the late summer-early fall fig season has arrived. The best way to devour this sweet and salty combination is slathered on crunchy seeded warm toast (because naturally, everything tastes better on toast), which I like to top off with honey and pistachios for that extra sweetness and crunch. A delicious and easy go-to snack at any time of the day….and preferably served with a side of Vogue.
Figs and Ricotta Toast with Honey & Pistachios
Seeded bread (I absolutely love Dave’s Killer Bread 21 whole grains and seeds)
Chopped shelled pistachios
Flaky sea salt
What to do:
Slather creamy ricotta cheese onto toasted, seeded bread. Top with sliced ripe figs and drizzle with honey. Sprinkle with pistachios and sea salt. Et voila! Simple and delicious.
